It was as a long six days, and yet she was not hanged like some common criminal. On the seventh day Ranma came and visited her at the dump, the newly instigated prisons, to try easing matters for her.

She stood before him as a man and not as a woman; someone had knocked a stupid bowl of water onto her face. Another annoying fact was that she had also been ordered to leave all her garments before entering the cell, not only was she dirty, but she was freezing because of the lack of garments.

Nabiki flinched at the sudden rush of cold air, but welcomed it. It was a drastic change from the fetid smell of the cells. She started to shiver and restrained her muscles to do so. To show discomfort at her current situation would be to loose what scraps of pride she had left.

It was good her brother did not comment on the small cringe, he was close enough and fast enough to notice it. At least her pride was still intact. She still had that... if nothing else... she will keep whatever shards of it.
